Revitalising Bremont Unveils Deep Blue Supermarine 500 Full Ceramic Dive Watch
Bremont, under the skilled guidance of CEO Davide Cerrato, has made substantial strides in watchmaking innovation. Adopting various experimental designs, including jumping hours pieces, meteorite dials, and space watches, Bremont upped their game by venturing into ceramic case assemblies and launching their first full-ceramic watch in 2024. Now, Bremont introduces their latest masterpiece: the Supermarine 500 Full Ceramic in Deep Blue.
As the successor to the Jungle Green variant, this new blue model boasts significant enhancements. The exquisitely crafted wave pattern on the black dial brings an intriguing dimensionality along with a beautiful contrast with the white Super-LumiNova with blue emission. Encased in a ceramic body that measures 43mm across and 13mm thick, the watch ensures impressive water resistance up to 500 meters. Moreover, it features a helium escape valve on the side, finished in matching blue.
The Deep Blue Supermarine 500 is limited to 250 pieces, and for a price of approximately $7,220, enthusiasts have the choice of three strap color variants — black and blue NATO, black rubber, or a hybrid of blue leather and rubber.
The redesign of the Supermarine signifies a mature phase of Bremont’s evolution, which includes the streamlining of watch lines into Terra Nova, Altitude, Supernova, and Supermarine. While some argue this deviation from original designs, it is a much-needed evolution in light of changing customer tastes and quality expectations. Embracing ceramic for its light-weight and scratch-resistant properties, and blending it with titanium, Bremont Supermarine 500 exemplifies the perfect fusion of traditional design aesthetic and material innovation.
