The Resurrection of an Icon: Minerva's Exo Tourbillon Skeleton Unveiled

Published: 21 Oct 2026
Reviving its heritage, Minerva reintroduces itself on a new journey of horological excellence with the impressively detailed Exo Tourbillon Skeleton, limited to just 18 pieces.

In 2026, the watchmaking world saw the grand debut of Minerva’s Exo Tourbillon Skeleton, which marks the revered manufacture’s evolution into a separate entity. Previously under dual branding with Montblanc, Minerva now shines with independent sparkle, focusing solely on its own laudable history. Limited to an exclusive run of 18 pieces, each Exo Tourbillon Skeleton is meticulously hand-finished and boasts unique rose gold detailing.

This revolutionary move paid tribute to the decision made by the Richemont Group in 2006, when it purchased Minerva to enhance Montblanc’s watchmaking prowess. Now, with Minerva stepping confidently into the spotlight, it clears any confusion stemming from the dual-branded past and, while remaining under Montblanc’s umbrella, it renews the brand’s esteemed status as a purveyor of elite, hand-crafted, and ultra-exclusive timepieces.

There are plenty of stylistic enhancements in the most recent version of the timepiece. The goddess Minerva herself, frequently displayed in vintage advertisements, returns to her glory in the beautiful form of an agate cameo featuring her profile. Besides this, the rose gold-coated tourbillon frame displays a classical Roman frieze pattern filled with blue lacquer, providing a modern elegance to the overall design.

Rich in both history and innovation, the stunning Exo Tourbillon Skeleton heralds a new era for Minerva, evoking admiration from high-end watch connoisseurs and representing the quintessence of luxurious horology.
