German Watchmaking Meets Aviation: Introducing Sinn’s Limited Edition Timepiece Celebrating 100 Years of Lufthansa

Published: 02 Oct 2026
To mark the 100th anniversary of Lufthansa, one of the world's largest airlines, Sinn has released a unique limited-edition chronograph blending meticulous watchmaking with aviation style.

Sinn makes a grand statement in the world of watches and aviation with the launch of the Sinn 103 St Sa Lufthansa. This limited-edition chronograph, of which only 100 pieces have been made, is a reinterpretation of the classic Sinn 103 St model, meticulously crafted in honor of Lufthansa’s centenary. With a design carefully infused with elements reminiscent of the German flag carrier, this timepiece stands out in Sinn’s collection. Featuring Lufthansa’s iconic shade of yellow on the hands and subdial markings, the color scheme of this watch is drawn straight from the airline’s style guide. This striking timepiece also incorporates several details alluding to Lufthansa, such as a special engraving on the watch’s rotor and an opening in the chronograph seconds hand reflecting the silhouette of an airliner window. The Lufthansa dark blue, however, does not feature in this release. A standout piece in its own right, the limited-edition Sinn 103 St Sa Lufthansa measures 41mm across with a thickness of 17mm. The watch comes with two straps—an olive grey textile option and a black cowhide leather strap—for versatile style. The watch’s bezel follows a minimalist aesthetic, displaying a 12-hour scale without any extraneous detail. The grey captive bezel exhibits a similar understated design. At its heart, the Sinn Lufthansa watch is driven by the reliable Sellita SW500 movement. The dial stripped down to essential elements in combination with the punchy Lufthansa yellow against various shades of grey creates an enticing visual interplay. The timepiece, while commemorating an airline, holds all the charm necessary to captivate those outside the aviation circle. Its carefully considered design hints at the airline while still maintaining a focus on the art of watchmaking, making for an intriguing combination of purposeful details and contemporary style.
