Gerald Charles Breaks the Mold with the Stunning and Lustrous Maestro GC Sport Tennis Turquoise Edition

Published: 02 Oct 2026
Gerald Charles has made yet another iconic statement with the elegance and vibrancy of the Maestro GC Sport Tennis Turquoise Edition watch.

Distinguished watch designer, Gérald Genta, is renowned for his work with numerous brands and a portfolio featuring a myriad of iconic timepieces. Amongst his achievements, Genta established two watch brands under his own name. The second of these, Gerald Charles, named after Genta’s first and middle name, was founded in 2000. Post Genta’s demise in 2011, Federico Ziviani took charge as CEO, imprinting Genta’s signature asymmetric Maestro case as the brand’s identity.

Indeed, not many brands can thrive on the appeal of a single case alone. However, Gerald Charles has successfully managed to break this stereotype. The brand’s latest addition to its illustrious offerings presented during Geneva Watch Days is a watch from the GC Sport family, featuring a striking light turquoise colour palette. The resilient design of this watch, like every other Maestro case, is a testament to Genta’s multifaceted approach.

Following the tennis-inspired model with a yellow fumé dial, the innovation sees a comeback with a light turquoise counterpart. It showcases a grained turquoise dial with a pronounced gradient effect, complemented by a white railway-style minutes track and applied Arabic numerals. The watch is equipped with an ultra-thin automatic movement (calibre GCA2001), flaunting a 50-hour power reserve by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. This exclusive series is adapted for the GC Sport, with a considerable increase in shock resistance and a rotor re-engineered to prevent overwinding during intense physical activity.

The customised golden rotor boasts the brand’s signature honeycomb design. The watch comes with a matching turquoise textured Velcro strap, a Darkblast titanium buckle, and is limited to 100 pieces. Inspiring awe and delivering excellence, Gerald Charles continues to redefine the essence of timekeeping in the world of horology.
