Baume & Mercier Presents Classy Ice-Blue Update to Iconic Clifton Collection

Published: 01 Oct 2026
Baume & Mercier refreshes the Clifton collection with a sleek ice-blue dial, a grand update that upholds its timeless elegance.

Inspired by elegant designs of the 1950s, Baume & Mercier’s Clifton collection is a timeless treasure, adorning wrists with classical sophistication since its introduction in 2012. Recently, the esteemed watchmaker has introduced an ice-blue update to the collection, presenting a fresh twist on its timeless grace while upholding the luxurious stalwart’s rich lineage.

The Clifton’s classic style was mechanically enhanced in 2018 with the introduction of the Baumatic movement, marking a significant improvement for the collection. A substantial redesign in 2025, which introduced more compact proportions, alpha hands, elongated trapezoidal indexes, a three-row bracelet, took the collection to new heights.

The latest addition presents two limited editions, each featuring an all-new, mesmerising ice-blue guilloché-styled dial. One, a 39mm automatic with date, and the other, a Baumatic movement powerhouse paired with a perpetual calendar, housed in a 40mm stainless-steel watch.

The main attraction of these timepieces is the ice-blue guilloché-inspired dial, crafted through a meticulous stamping process. Other prominent features include a black central crosshair, a snailed minutes track, and the new elongated trapezoidal applied indices. The time is indicated by faceted rhodium-plated alpha hands.

The watch is powered by BM13-1975 A (ValFleurier), a self-winding Baumatic calibre built with 21 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It offers a whopping 120-hour power reserve. The decorative aspects visible through the caseback include circular-grained bridges, a sandblasted and snailed plate, and an open-worked oscillating weight adorned with Côtes de Genève.

The timepiece is completed with an integrated three-row stainless-steel bracelet combining polished and satin-finished surfaces. The bracelet can be removed without tools thanks to an interchangeable-bar system and is secured with a triple-folding clasp further fitted with security push-pieces. As a symbol of luxury, these new models have ensured that the Clifton collection remains at the pinnacle of Baume & Mercier’s offerings.
