Buci Transforms Short Story Inspiration into Exquisite Wrist Art with the Nouvelle Collection

Founded in 2022, Buci’s distinct approach to watchmaking is rooted not just in high-precision mechanics, but also in storytelling and writing. Their initial Garde-Temps collection showcased their unique identity, leading to collaborations with notable names like seconde/seconde/ and Revolution Watch magazine.

In its newest and second collection, the Nouvelle, Buci takes inspiration from the art of the short story. The collection captures small details of day-to-day life and the constant passage of time, creating a refreshing and compact timepiece.

The stainless-steel case of Buci’s Nouvelle is designed to be unisex, measuring a compact 36mm in diameter and 9.88 mm thick. With polished and satin-brushed surfaces, the case incorporates a concave, oval bezel - a signature element of Buci watches. Further enhancing its aesthetic is the fluted mid-case that draws on the imagery of layered book pages.

The watch houses a manually wound Sellita SW219 movement, offering a reliable power reserve of 42 hours. For a personalized look, the watch comes with interchangeable calfskin straps in colors of grained cream, grained blue, smooth brown, and grey nubuck.

Each of Buci’s Nouvelle watches arrives in a book-shaped box, accompanied by a notebook. Limited to 300 individually numbered pieces, the Nouvelle collection is akin to a short story on your wrist, available for pre-order from September 25 to November 15, 2026.
