Unveiling the Nivada Grenchen F77 MKII 100: Natural Stone Dials and Enhanced Power

Nivada Grenchen, re-established under the creative eye of Guillaume Laidet, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a truly remarkable release. The F77 MKII, a model admired for its preservation of the original character, has been revamped to bring forth a newfound dynamism and elite sophistication.

Taking design inspiration from the sporty chic of the 1970s, the new F77 MKII embraces a compact 38mm stainless-steel case coupled with an integrated bracelet. The case is now slimmer thanks to the introduction of the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement, lending towards greater wrist comfort whilst preserving the F77’s distinct sporty presence. Features such as the octagonal bezel, the 6mm crown, and a water resistance of 100m remain consistent. The model also showcases a sapphire exhibition case back, allowing for the observation of the impressive new movement.

While the design changes are noteworthy, however, it’s the enhanced mechanical prowess that sets the F77 MKII apart. With the fresh movement comes an increased autonomy of 68 hours, a significant improvement from the Soprod’s 42 hours in previous models. This innovative move reinforces the F77 MKII’s standing as a classic yet futuristic model in the realm of horology.
