Panerai's Return with a Smaller Size Elegance & Marathon x Espionage's Eyecatching Titanium Venture

Noteworthy landmarks in the watch industry, Panerai and Marathon x Espionage have emerged with two exciting unveils. Shedding light on Panerai’s new offerings, we see a captivating twist to the Italian brand’s traditionally bold, large watches. The watchmaker has heeded fans’ calls for a more compact sized timepiece, releasing three 42mm Luminors, stepping away from its prior preference for larger timepieces. Going back to the brand’s origins in the pre-Vendome era, Panerai has reintroduced the distinguishing features of the Luminor: the large casing, striking numerals, and unique crown lock. This time, the focus is around an attractive price point and a more comfortable wear.

In parallel, a collaborative venture between Marathon Watches and online journal Watches of Espionage has materialized. The Marathon x W.O.E. Titanium SAR is the inaugural collaborative watch from Watches of Espionage and Marathon’s first expedition into titanium timepieces. Drawing inspiration from Marathon’s original Search and Rescue (SAR) released in 2001, this modern iteration bolsters the kinship between horology and the military, a theme Watches of Espionage holds at its core.
