Hit the Road with the MeisterSinger Edition Route 66: A Tribute to a Historic Highway's 100th Anniversary

Diverging from its usual calm, single-handed time-reading offerings, MeisterSinger introduces a new speed with its latest special edition watch, the Edition Route 66. This new offering pays tribute to the iconic highway and the idea of driving with freedom.

Following the VW T1 Restomod and Jaguar E-Type Convertible editions, the Edition Route 66 takes inspiration from the spirit of the highway, the classic Ford Mustang, and the freedom of journeying with no set destination. The watch enters a larger arena with a base model measuring a substantial 43mm in diameter and 11.5mm in height, giving it a distinct, robust character.

The watch picks up design matches from a Ford Mustang’s wheels in its two-layer dial. The lower section sports matt black with fine concentric circles, leading up to an upper layer that showcases six silver-white spokes. The historic Route 66 emblem finds place in the lower part of the dial. A red-tipped white hand circumscribes the minute markings, with double-digit hours in white closer to the centre.

Powering the watch is the Sellita SW200 automatic with 28,800 vibrations/hour, offering a 38-hour power reserve. A black vintage saddle-leather strap with contrasting red stitches complement the dial’s color scheme, all ending in a pin buckle. What’s unique, the Edition Route 66 each comes with a model of a red Ford Mustang Convertible, at a scale of 1:18.

The special edition watch, housed in a specially designed box illustrating the Route 66 desert landscape, is limited to 100 pieces. The timepiece is priced at EUR 2,390, inclusive of VAT.
