MeisterSinger's Route 66 Edition: A Timeless Tribute to A Century of Iconic Road Travels

MeisterSinger, renowned for its single-hand time-reading catalog, has shifted into the proverbial high gear. The brand’s latest special edition timepiece captures the spirit of the open road, celebrating a century since the opening of the iconic Route 66 in 1926. This new watch is also inspired by the classic American sports car - the Ford Mustang, and nods to the freedom of journeying without a defined end-point.

Dial inspiration is drawn from the wheels of the Ford Mustang. The lower layer is matte black, etched with fine concentric circles, topped with a silver-white six-spoke upper layer. The watch face also sports the MeisterSinger logo coupled with the Route 66 emblem. Apart from white minute markings along the external edge, the watch only has a single red-tipped white hand for time indication and double-digit white hour increments nearer to the dial’s center.

Behind the thematic caseback, the watch is powered by the Sellita SW200 automatic movement, boasting an operating frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a 38-hour power reserve. The black vintage saddle-leather strap is complemented by contrasting red stitching, reminiscent of the dial’s color scheme, and fastened by a pin buckle. Each watch comes with a 1:18-scale model of a red Ford Mustang Convertible and is packaged in a bespoke box depicting Route 66 and its desert landscape. With only 100 pieces in circulation, the MeisterSinger Edition Route 66 retails at EUR 2,390.
