Proudly presenting the dazzling new Venezianico Redentore Levius, carefully crafted by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli of the burgeoning Venice-based brand, Venezianico. Previously known as Meccaniche Veneziane, the company refocused its attention in recent years on intensifying its Italian identity. This stunning timepiece flawlessly intertwines prime Italian craftsmanship and design, encased in a lightweight titanium framework, adorned with a hand-engraved guilloché dial, and punctuated with the Italian-made V5000 calibre. Named after the Latin word ’levis’, denoting ’light or delicate’, the Redentore Levius exemplifies esseence of grace and gentleness. Weighing merely 12.9g for the case, 40g for the complete head, and a mere 48g woven with its leather strap, this timepiece offers the rarity of light splendor.

The design prowess extends to the splendid dial of the Levius, meticulously hand-engraved by the gifted Linda Renzetti on a 19th-century rose machine. Called the Zefiro pattern, it is inspired by Zephyrus, the west wind of classical lore, a concept reflected in the dial’s flowing lines. The play of light across its blue surface creates an enchanting illusion, bringing the simplistic display of polished indices alive. The polished, faceted hands which indicate time add to the elegance, with the needle-like running seconds standing at the heart.

At the core of this Italian masterpiece lies the V5000, the home-grown hand-wound calibre manufactured by OISA, masterminded by the brilliant duo,Fausto Berizzi and Andrea Menegazzo. This movement underlines Venezianico’s objective of reinstating the watchmaking heart back to its Italian roots. Operating at an impressive 25,200 vibrations/hour with 60 hours of autonomy, this manually wound V5000 is a testament to exquisite Italian horology. The watch is adorned with Atokalpa’s variable-inertia copper–beryllium balance with four masselottes, and includes radial Côtes de Genève, mirror-polished anglage, and hand-applied micro-perlage, with nickel-treated bridges.
