ArtyA, an independent watch brand famed for its daring designs and cutting-edge timepieces, dazzles again with the release of its new creation - the Métiers d’Art Complexity. The timepiece is a fresh twist on its predecessor, retaining the experimental charm while injecting it with an overdose of intricate handcraftsmanship and ambitions of perfect timekeeping.

The pièce de résistance of the watch is its ground-breaking architecture of two inclined tourbillons positioned at the 12 and 6 o’clock installments. These are connected via a differential, a horological first that is a testament to ArtyA’s relentless innovative prowess. Rather than focusing on the technical purity of the movement, the brand pivots to the artful aspect, transforming every visible surface through hand-engraving, hammering, shot blasting, perlage and bevelling.

Adding the touch of stellar luxury to the watch, the dial is hand engraved with a sandblasted base and features hand-polished bevels in its application indices. The manifestation of the manually-wound calibre Complexity-01 movement serves as a glorious heart to the watch. Developed with Purtec Sarl, the calibre’s defining characteristic includes a brilliantly conceived double-incline tourbillon feature that helps offset gravitational impacts for accurate timekeeping.

The pièce de résistance of the watch’s mechanics, however, is the simultaneous circulation of both tourbillons in opposing directions every thirty seconds, providing an unparalleled horological spectacle. With a power reserve of 50 hours, the watch is as dependable as it is mesmerizing.

Turning the spotlight back to aesthetics, ArtyA further refines the impressive timepiece through elaborate treatment. The top surfaces bear shot-blasted designs while hand-hammering graces the lower surfaces. Each angle of the watch is carefully bevelled and hand-polished, presenting a candle-lit dinner of a watch - intimate, luxurious and highly memorable.
