Chronoswiss Transforms Iconic Neo Digiteur with Pastel Tones and Delicate tweaks
Chronoswiss, revered for its contribution to horology with the world’s first serially produced regulator wristwatch in 1987, brings a fresh air of transformation to its iconic Neo Digiteur model. The model returns as three remarkably appealing limited editions graced with pastel-coloured dials and attractive pricing options that make them irresistible to watch enthusiasts worldwide.
Chronoswiss founder Gerd Lang’s original Art Deco-inspired rectangular case design maintains its allure in these new releases. The Neo Digiteur’s sleek and streamlined stainless steel case keeps the same cambered profile and dimensions as its 2025 editions, along with impeccable attention to elegant finishes including a sandblasted contrast effect on recessed case flanks. One noticeable modification is the crown, reimagined as a scaled-down version of the traditional Chronoswiss onion crown, ensuring a sleek aesthetic.
Colour has been at the forefront of Chronoswiss’ in-house design since Oliver Ebstein’s acquisition of the brand in 2012. The new Neo Digiteur versions deviate from traditional palettes, presenting a bold, unexpected twist in Rose (pink), Mint (green), or Sky (blue). Added depth and interest have been achieved through sandblasting for a matte finish, followed by lacquering.
The familiar vertical layout keeps its presence, featuring three well-defined, deep-set, bevelled windows. A rectangular aperture with slanting edges frames the jumping-hour display, and the sweeping minutes along with the running seconds are also tastefully showcased.
Special attention has been paid to ensure the flawlessly legible digits, which is all made possible due to several mechanical solutions. For instance, the rotating discs are made of lightweight aluminium to prevent weight addition and slowing movement. Besides, to safeguard the jumping hour mechanism, Chronoswiss utilises its proprietary in-house Digiteur module, which is bidirectional.
