Oris Social Club Enthusiasts Excited about the Launch of New Edition II Watch
The Oris Social Club, which began as a local initiative, has burgeoned into an international network of watch collectors and enthusiasts, with a whopping 62 chapters worldwide. The latest Oris Social Club Edition II is a testimony to this growth, specifically crafted to unite all these constituents instead of zeroing in on a particular locality.
The foundation of the timepiece is the Aquis Date Relief 43.5mm, a distinctive model of Oris’s contemporary dive watch range. It boasts a large 43.5mm diameter stainless steel case and a 51mm lug-to-lug width. The unidirectional bezel retains its steel insert with the diving scale in relief, lending the watch a recognizable, almost industrial charm. The watch caseback is graced with the image of the Oris factory in Hölstein and it carries the markings “OSC | INT,”, carving out its identity as a global project. The watch also offers impressive water resistance up to 300m.
Propelling the timepiece is the Oris 733 calibre. This is a derivative of the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement (known as a worthy alternative to the ETA 2824). It comes with 26 jewels, vibrates at 28,800 oscillations/hour, and it can run autonomously for 41 hours. Traditional functionality like central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and date are included.
Finally, the watch is accompanied by an olive-green NATO strap, giving the robust dive watch a versatile and laid-back feel. It is the first time in more than ten years that Oris has associated an Aquis Date with a NATO strap. The Oris Social Club Edition II is expected to be available from September 2026 at a price of CHF 2,100.
