TAG Heuer Celebrates Half a Century of Monza with an 'All-Star' Chronograph Design

Predictable becomes exciting when it comes to TAG Heuer Monza releases. Unlike the evergreen Monaco and Carrera, the Monza collection grace the TAG Heuer catalogue in rare instances only. Honouring the golden jubilee of the Monza, 2026 earmarked the comeback of this collection, yet not in a monotonously recreated design from the 70s. Instead, the latest Monza edition is a captivating compilation of the best from its predecessors, creating a balanced, performance-oriented homage to TAG Heuer’s most motor sport-centric series.

The intriguing dial of the Monza Flyback Chronograph divides its inspiration between the latest and the 1976 original Monzas. Despite the modern movement design dictating an offbeat dial layout, the watch maintains significant visual elements from the 1976 model. The matte black dial base, white-tipped pencil hands, tiny white rectangular indices, red chronograph details, and split tachymeter/pulsometer scale all harken back to its inaugural design.
