Elevating Italian Watch Design: Discover the Gagà Laboratorio Labormatic Superleggero

Gagà Laboratorio, a spin-off from the esteemed Italian luxury watchmaker, Gagà Milano, has unveiled their Labormatic Superleggero. This rendition imbibes the brand’s exceptional mechanical personality, accentuated by design elements that echo the 1950s Italian industrialism and the Swiss La Joux-Perret movements. Unlike conventional watches, the Labormatic presents digital hours in an aperture, with the central minutes and a revolving disc showcasing the running seconds. The Labormatic Superleggero made its debuts during Geneva Watch Days. This lighter version has been encased in grade 5 titanium, embodying a sportier character. This latest model captivates with its zesty, lightweight spirit, taking inspiration from Italy’s prowess in areas like coachbuilding, racing machines, and performance cars. The creative soul behind the Labormatic is Mo Coppoletta, a celebrated tattoo artist, who worked with founder Ruben Tomella to carve the brand’s distinctive personality. The Superleggero boasts a flamboyant case construction with a stunning case structure of 42mm x 13.3mm. Despite retaining the lugs and crown from the previous models, the sandblasted matte titanium gives it a sportier appeal. Noteworthy is the open dial design housing four arched windows not including the smaller noon-hour aperture, each revealing sections of the hours disc. The timepiece is powered by the automatic G-100 La Joux-Perret movement providing a 68-hour power reserve. Capped at only 100 editions, the Labormatic Superleggero retails for CHF 4,700 (Excl. VAT) and can be purchased either online or via selected retail partners.
