Tutima's New Entry to its Timeless Fleet: The Compact, Titanium-clad Flieger T5 Timepiece

Tutima, a celebrated watchmaker best known for its pilot's watches, expands its renowned collection with the addition of the Flieger T5.

Tutima, the longstanding German watchmaker celebrated for its military and pilot’s watch repertoire, introduces a new addition to its prestigious collection, the Flieger T5. Tutima’s history harks back to the 1940s, when it launched Germany’s maiden two-pusher flyback chronograph, later known as the Flieger. In 2019, the company introduced a modern, less tool-like interpretation of the Flieger, resonating time-and-date functions. The latest addition to this squadron is the Flieger T5, featuring a more compact, approachable 38.5mm titanium case.

Bearing a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, the Flieger T5 reveals Tutima’s calibre 330 automatic movement. With either a black or blue lacquered dial option, the dials elucidate the brand’s military aviation DNA smoothly without an overload of vintage features. A key tribute lies in its excellent legibility and luminescence, the critical characteristics of a cockpit instrument. The watch exudes charm with its signature pilot’s orientation triangle at noon, flanked by two dots, the baton hour markers, and Arabic numerals. The lance-shaped hour and minute hands are all treated with a thick coating of Super-LumiNova.

The Flieger T5 is available with a three-row titanium bracelet or paired with a vintage-style brown Horween leather strap, offering refinement and sophistication to any style enthusiast.
