Meet the Albishorn Marinagraph Classic: A Fresh Twist on the Charm of Vintage Chronographs

Published: 13 Aug 2026
Swiss brand Albishorn has masterfully sculpted the realm of 'imaginary vintage' watches, presenting the Marinagraph Classic edition of its regatta chronograph.

Owning an Albishorn watch is like owning a piece of timeless horological art. Among their illustrious collection, the newly released Marinagraph Classic has been generating considerable interest. While this regatta chronograph hails from their ‘Water’ collection, the Classic takes on impressive mechanical and design alterations that set it apart from its siblings. As opposed to the colorful aluminum insert tide bezel on earlier renditions, the Classic comes with a large bidirectional bezel crafted from sapphire and more traditional, lumed markings. Accompanying this change is the unveiling of new dial designs. The striking black sunray-brushed dial persists, and the firm introduces a novel white fumé dial which presents an artistic faded shading around the edges. The silver hands and markers on the black dial form a striking contrast, as do the black ones on the white fumé dial. Each dial consists of a ten-minute retrograde regatta countdown scale at 7 o’clock, colored in blue and red, adding a vibrant touch to the overall aesthetics. Resting under aesthetic modifications is the patented proprietary chronograph caliber ALB01. It empowers the watch with automatic winding, monopusher chronograph with a retrograde 10-minute regatta function, a running indicator, and an impressive power reserve of 64 hours. Drawing from the Valjoux 7750 architecture, the mechanism also introduces an increased power reserve, along with a monopusher modification. The entire timepiece is packaged neatly in a 39mm steel case, providing an ocean-friendly 100 meter water resistance. Altogether, the Marinagraph Classic, limited to 99 unnumbered pieces over three years, encapsulates the brand’s prowess in delivering the graceful blend of traditional and modern horological design.
