It’s been two years since Unimatic unveiled their “Toolwatch” collection. Now, the latest addition, the UT1-PD - a Pro-diver in its essence - has taken the spotlight. The UT1-PD distinguishes itself with a sandblasted stainless steel case of 40mm diameter (41.5mm including bezel overhang), and a 49mm lug-to-lug length. This design centrepiece isn’t all about aesthetics; it’s geared to serve as a highly functional diver’s companion. Adhering to stringent diver’s watch standards, it includes a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel, offers 300m water resistance, and supports a screw-down crown. Unimatic didn’t compromise on movement, choosing the dependable Seiko VH31A quartz for precision and reliability.

But the truly defining feature of this Unimatic release is its compliance with the U.S. Department of Defense MIL-STD-810H specifications. This regulation outlines rigorous testing for durability, resilience and technical resistance, effectively reassuring of the UT1-PD’s robustness. Included in these features is Unimatic’s 360º Protection System, specifically designed to house and shield the movement from shocks, and a caseback engraved with a Prodiver dive mask motif.

With just 250 pieces available, priced at $740, the Unimatic UT1-PD becomes a much-anticipated entry in the world of watch releases.
