Ming Reinvents Elegance with the 37.06 Royal Selangor Limited Edition: A Bleed of Malaysian Authenticity

Published: 30 Jul 2026
In a stunning fusion of tradition and innovation, Ming unveils its latest masterpiece—the 37.06 Royal Selangor Limited Edition.

Ming goes back to its origins with the release of the 37.06 Royal Selangor Limited Edition, celebrating Malaysia’s rich tradition through an unexpected collaboration with local pewter brand, Royal Selangor. This remarkable watch features a gleaming hammered pewter dial, dexterously crafted by Royal Selangor artisans in Kuala Lumpur. The grooves from the hammering are deliberately overstated, creating an asymmetrical pattern on the dial devoid of any printing or applied markers.

The watch showcases a crackerjack of technique by ingeniously engraving dial markings on the underside of the top sapphire crystal. Infilled with Super-LumiNova X1, the engravings provide a luminescent track with hour markers, and Ming’s logo, floating above the attractive, hammered pewter surface. This aesthetic is further complemented by an unmissable blued 37-series handset, further layered with liberal amounts of Super-LumiNova.

In an initiative to totally devote to the Malaysian collaboration, each of the 88 pieces of this limited edition’s assembly takes place in Kuala Lumpur. The watch comes encased in a special hammered pewter box designed by Royal Selangor, mirroring the texture of the dial and doubling as a memento. On sale at CHF 5,000, purchases can be made through Ming and Royal Selangor boutiques.
