Laine Watches Marks a Decade of Craftsmanship with an Exclusive 33mm Model and Variants of its P37 Watch

Laine Watches, a reputable independent watch brand, holds its own unique space in the horological universe. The brand’s primary focus has been on movement decoration and finishing, powered by exceptional guillochage skills that make its timepieces stand out. This revered brand was established a decade ago by Torsti Laine, a Finnish watchmaker, and is based in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. At this small workshop, classical, time-only watches are meticulously created, distinguished mainly by their hand-cut guilloché dials and overall sophistication.

Celebrating a decadent decade of watchmaking, Laine Watches is on its way to releasing numerous special-edition models to mark the milestone, which includes the sophisticated variations of its esteemed hand-wound P37 model and an entirely new line - the compact P33 with its dual-guilloché dial.

Laine Watches has its incredibly intricate guilloché work as one of its defining features and creates classical patterns like grain de riz, panier, flamme, clou de Paris, diamond, and twill on its dials. Laine makes use of existing bases such as the hand-wound Unitas or Peseux while also utilizing micro-rotor movements from Vaucher. The atelier pours intricate detailing and craftsmanship into the watch movements, presenting calibres that are richly adorned with engravings, polished steel parts, guilloché bridges, color plating, and hand-polished internal angles, as well as frosted surfaces.

The 10th anniversary celebration sees the stylishly minimalistic Laine P33 take center stage in a compact yet attention-grabbing 33 mm case. The polished steel case invokes memories of the compact proportions that characterized dress watches from the 1930s and 1940s. However, Laine Watches is not just about case dimensions.
