Delma Shrinks its Iconic Shell Star Diver: The Swiss Brand's latest release reimagines the classic underwater flagbearer in a petite yet powerful 41mm presentation.
Making waves in the horology world since 1975, Delma’s iconic Shell Star dive watch is a quintessential timepiece that withstands the test of both time and tides. The Swiss brand has now introduced a 41mm version of the Shell Star in 2026, taking its robust functionality and rendering it an everyday watch that effortlessly bridges the gap between professional and casual environments.
Compared to the original half-century-old model, the modern Shell Star is significantly more capable, but being a more substantial timepiece, it was not the easiest to wear. This smaller and more wearable execution, smaller by 3mm, still manages to be a powerhouse in a smaller package, available in either an automatic or quartz format. It comes in five different colorways, paired with either a strap or bracelet-equipped configurations.
Unlike other vintage-inspired reissue pieces, the latest Delma Shell Star is a bold reinterpretation of the classic 1975 model. It incorporates core thematic elements, like orange accents and a unique case shape, creating a robust, modern dive watch without compromising its historical essence.
The 41mm Shell Star, available with either a quartz or automatic movement, comes with the option of five dial colours and a choice between a rubber strap and a stainless steel bracelet. It gives the consumer the freedom to choose the movement type, dial colour, and strap/bracelet combination they prefer most, simplifying the decision-making process. Each Shell Star 41mm model is crafted from 316L stainless steel with a brushed and polished finish and offers 200 meters of water resistance - a capability surpassing most real-world scuba diving requirements.
