Elevating Luxury: Casio Unveils the G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection, Redefining the Octagonal Watch Silhouette

Published: 20 Jul 2026
Unveiling an innovative blend of aesthetic appeal and durability, Casio's G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection sets a new benchmark in the world of watches.

Casio’s G-SHOCK 2100 series, first introduced in 2019, rapidly drew attention for its distinctive octagonal design. Over the years, Casio has catered to the luxurious side of watch enthusiasts by introducing premium versions of the 2100 series as part of its high-profile MR-G lineup. 2026 marks a year where refined styling meets affordability in the G-SHOCK range, as Casio launched the G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection. This collection offers a selection of four models featuring black components elegantly accentuated by refined metallic details.

Among the quartet of models are the GA2100LXB-1A and GA2100LXB-1A9. Both are rooted in the original resin-bezel GA2100 and feature carbon composite inner cases adorned with matte black resin bezels covered by flat mineral crystal tops. These cases are held on the reverse side by stainless steel with four small securing screws. Both models are paired with black bio-based resin straps with a textured dial extending the matte-black color aesthetic.

If you seek a restrained appearance, the GA2100LXB-1A provides silver hour markers with a matte complimenting the black resin bezel and strap. On the contrary, for an aesthetic touch of grandeur, the GA2100LXB-1A9 showcases a rich metallic gold finish on its hour markers and matching gold-colored details on its day indicator.

The GM2100LXB-1A and GM2100LXB-1A9 models use the metal-bezel GM2100 as a foundation and go a notch higher in their aesthetic appeal. Replacing the standard resin bezels with their black ion-plated stainless steel counterparts, they further refine and elevate the style of the G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection.
