Taking Inspiration from Aurora Borealis; The Newest Bell & Ross BR-03 GMT Green Lum Watch Showcases Striking Luminosity
Bell & Ross, known for its military and pilot watch designs, has added another captivating piece to its Lum series, the BR-03 GMT Green Lum. The watchmaker has long been celebrated for its use of Super-LumiNova materials, creating visually striking pieces with enhanced functionality. The Lum series is a testament to this unique approach, characterised by the innovative use of luminescent materials.
The new BR-03 GMT Green Lum watch, with its radiant green dial – a creative nod to the Northern Lights, showcases a dual-time functionality, which is consistent with the brand’s BR-03 GMT collection. Debuting in 2021, the series saw updates, introducing various renditions including a Coke-inspired model, a blue edition, and a compass model.
At the core of this timepiece is an office-style GMT watch complication. It features a bidirectional 24-hour rotating bezel with a newly introduced black polished ceramic insert. For consistency with the Lum series, all markings on the model are treated with green-emitting Super-LumiNova C3.
Powering the watch is the Calibre BR-CAL.303, which is based on the Sellita SW330-2. This implies that the crown separately adjusts the central 24-hour hand, rather than the local hour hand. This well-established movement is deployed in its most recent version with a power reserve of 54 hours.
Serving as a novel homage to the Northern Lights, the Bell & Ross BR-03 GMT Green Lum, a limited edition with only 500 pieces, brings a captivating blend of durability and distinctive, vibrant aesthetics to the discerning wrist.
