Discover the Unique Charm and Sophistication of the Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni 'Brunito Steel'
After making waves at the Watches and Wonders showing, the Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni ‘Brunito Steel’ continues to captivate watch enthusiasts. Its distinctive character resides in its unusually finished steel case, which has been dubbed ‘Brunito steel’. Resembling the distressed-jeans style in the fashion world, the Brunito steel case is a refreshing change from standard watch models.
Through a skilled process, the large 44mm steel case is layered with black PVD treatment and then brushed by hand to obtain a unique distressed metal look that resembles metal aged over time. This effect showcases various subtle hues from the bright silver of the base steel to the dark black PVD coating. The craft extends even to the strap buckle, making each watch distinctly unique.
The dramatic dial in anthracite offers visual depth to the watch. With the circularly brushed dial handmade, the elements provide an engaging contrast to the metal case. The handwork ensures unique aesthetic nuances in each model, promoting a sense of exclusivity.
A noteworthy feature of this model is its beige Super-LumiNova disc sitting below the brushed dial plate. Despite the aged lume not being a crowd-pleaser, it harmoniously works with the dial, adding warmth to the otherwise cold metal appearance. All these elements combined with the gold-toned handsets create an artfully balanced look.
‘8 Giorni’, signalling the eight-day power reserve of the inbuilt caliber, is distinctly marked on the dial. A Brunito steel caseback and a large exhibition caseback highlight the manually wound P.5000 caliber, beating at 21,600 VpH and securing the extensive power reserve. The Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni ‘Brunito Steel’ harmonizes artistic craftsmanship with practical functionality, underscoring its timeless appeal.
