Bulgari Latest Revival: Summer Collection Reveals Refreshed Aluminium Timepieces in Ice Blue and White

The luxurious watchmaker is invoking nostalgia from its 1998 Aluminium release, which shook the market with its avant-garde amalgamation of lightweight aluminium and rubber. Distinguished with the dual Bulgari signature on the black rubber bezel, the sporty-chic Aluminium was no less than a signature Bulgari creation. The 2020 revision presents the same distinctive design elements but in refreshing Ice Blue and White dial colours.

Long before the ultra-thin Octo Finissimo dominated the representation of the brand, it was Bulgari Aluminium that was known for its audacious and unconventional designs. This model was an innovation for its time, captivating audiences with its unique material choice- aluminium. Commonly associated with befitting only lightweight components, Bulgari’s daring step to use aluminium in the case construction marked a compelling departure.

Bulgari’s newly revived Aluminium collection carries its bold legacy forward. It maintains the unique pairing of aluminium and rubber but with significant upgrades. The aluminium used is of an aerospace-grade making it more scratch-resistant. Other major updates include enhanced water resistance, from 30m to 100m, and the use of titanium in crafting the case back and crown. Modernized with a sharper, more graphic dial and reshaped lugs, the watch becomes a perfect blend of heritage and innovation.

Some notable features of the new models include their slim profile of 9.4mm, a trademark rubber bezel with the double brand signature, and a white rubber strap. The latter is an essential addition for the summertime; it blends seamlessly with the case and features central sandblasted aluminium links for wrist comfort.

Bulgari’s Aluminium Ice Blue and White models are rooted in the past while shaping the future. They mirror icy waters, their sun-brushed finish acting as a cool summer reminder. Characteristic traits like its larger Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock positions, along with baton markers, vouch for its bold design.
