Temporal Works' Immaculately Crafted 'Series A Rambler': A Bid to Patek Philippe’s 565 Modern Era

Published: 08 Jul 2026
Introducing the Temporal Works' Series A 'Rambler,' a beautiful fusion of old-world inspiration and modern appeal, akin to a Patek Philippe 565 for the modern era.

Much like how a tailor has a house style, so does a watchmaker. Temporal Works, a recently launched brand from The Armoury, clearly manifests this with their new watch: the ‘Series A Rambler.’ Their house style is comparable to a Patek Philippe 565, revised for the modern timepiece enthusiast.

The ‘Series A Rambler’ is the offspring of a Hamilton Khaki field watch and the iconic Patek Philippe 565. Announced last fall along with other model, the ‘Series A Sector’ in blue, black, and ‘Fortune Red,’ this intriguing model initially was overshadowed by its siblings. However, unlike its peers, the ‘Rambler’ personally stands out with its appealing stainless-steel bead-blasted monoblock case.

Retaining measurements of a 37mm diameter, 45mm lug-to-lug, and 10mm thickness, the Rambler’s bead-blasted 316L steel case feels less generic and better matched to the dial. The caseback is equally simple, featuring the brand logo, motto, and a 50M water resistance indication. It’s powered by a manually wound Sellita SW210-1 b D4, running at 4Hz with a 42-hour power reserve. The ‘Series A Rambler’ is proof that minimalism and sophistication can go hand in hand. A sure modern classic.
