Chopard's Latest Tribute to Mille Miglia is a Set of Classic Chronographs in Famed Racing Colours

Chopard, as a long-time supporter of Mille Miglia, presents three noteworthy chronographs, inspired by significant national racing colours.

For more than three decades, Chopard has been closely entwined with the famed Mille Miglia race, taking on the mantle of World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper. In an inspired move echoing this strong alliance, it has chose to release a series of country-exclusive editions of the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph, capturing the spirit of historic national racing colours that made their mark in the earliest years of international motor racing. This practice, commonly associated with the Gordon Bennett Cup era, saw France racing in blue, Britain in green, and Germany starting out in white, eventually switching to the renowned silver-metal finish, often linked to the celebrated Silver Arrows.

The British Racing Green edition takes its design cues from the traditional tricompax layout, set off with a galvanic green dial with white transfers and rhodium-plated hands. The French Limited Edition, on the other hand, adds a vibrant splash of patriotism with a varnished blue dial, heralding the French tricolour flag. These timepieces, rich with motor racing history and precision time-keeping craftsmanship, make an essential addition to any horology, or auto racing, enthusiast’s collection.
