A Nostalgic Nod to the 80s Rally Scene: The Union Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026

Each summer, the rolling Alpine roads of Austria’s Montafon region become a grand stage for the classic cars participating in the Silvretta Classic. This event is one that Union Glashütte, a revered German watchmaker, has embraced, producing dedicated limited editions almost yearly. For this year, the spotlight shines on the brand’s Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026, an exquisite timepiece bearing an unmistakable visual echo of the 1980s rally scene.

Constructed with a 44mm stainless steel case, the Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is water-resistant up to 100 metres. It manifests sporting elegance in features like the large crown and mushroom-shaped pushers. Above the dial sits a domed sapphire crystal, offering remarkable clarity. Versatility extends to its strap options ─ a yellow textile strap with white stripes, a stainless steel bracelet, and a black leather strap with yellow lining, all easily interchangeable via a quick-change system.

The timepiece is powered by the automatic calibre UNG-27.S1, a chronograph leveraging the distinguished Valjoux 7750 design. With a silicon balance spring and 28,800 vibrations per hour, it provides a power reserve of 65 hours and a date function, along with the chronograph display with 60-second, 30-minute, and 12-hour counters.

Launching alongside the Silvretta Classic event from 9 to 11 July 2026, the Union Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is aptly limited to 200 pieces, mirroring the number of classic cars participating in the rally. Each timepiece, priced at EUR 3,450, is individually numbered, adding an exclusive touch to this luxury mechanical chronograph.
