Experience the Unveiling of Ressence Type 11: A Next-Level Design with Innovative Features

Published: 19 Jun 2026
An intricate fusion of horizon-expanding innovation and top-end technology, the Ressence Type 11 merits applause for its distinctive style and advanced features.

Unveiled earlier this year at Watches and Wonders, the Ressence Type 11 continues to uphold the brand’s unique visual identity while harbouring transformative changes beneath the surface. The most significant shift lies in its heart–it’s the first from Ressence to embody the brand’s integrated caliber, a departure from the usual fusion of an ETA base with Ressence’s Orbital Convex System.

On the dial, this innovative piece of horological art sports the signature satellite display of Ressence, showcasing hours, running seconds, and the power reserve indicator on rotating subdials. One remarkable addition is the power-reserve indicator; it employs miniature, coloured ceramic ball bearings instead of traditional hands. A yellow ball represents the power reserve on the scale, while the other balls change from black to white as the watch winds, indicating the increase in power.

This unique power reserve indicator implementation, while exciting, is not entirely novel. It evolved from the ‘Time By Color’ system introduced by the 2020 Type 1 Squared X, which transcribed a day’s passage through colour changes in smaller ceramic balls. This power reserve feature, although whimsically philosophical in its earlier forms, offers practical functionality when wound manually, revealing the meticulously calculated ball bearings underneath the dial. Enthusiasts expect that such ground-breaking features, evidenced in the first Ressence caliber designed in-house, will be an integral part of the brand’s future ventures.
