Timex Unveils Two New Chronographs, Expanding its Atelier Collection
Timex Atelier, an admired timepiece line, is broadening its horizons with the launch of two new chronographs, the Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti and the Chronograph Quartz M1q. This latest offering doubles the collection, contributing to the existing Diver and GMT models and altogether providing six stellar choices to the discerning customer.
The Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti is constructed from sturdy titanium and incorporates a stainless-steel middle case along with a black IP coating. Measuring 42mm in diameter with a 20mm lug width, it exudes an understated elegance. On the other hand, the Chronograph Quartz M1q delivers cutting-edge appeal with a skeletonized stainless steel case, matching the black IP treatment of its counterpart, within a compact size of 40mm diameter and 20mm lug width. The tachymeter bezel, a double-domed sapphire crystal with a triple-layer AR coating, is a common feature of both watches, crafted to impeccably meet every wearer’s needs.
At the heart, the premium mechanisms differentiate these watches. The M1a Ti houses a Swiss-made Landeron L72 automatic chronograph, operating at 4Hz and providing a 43-hour power reserve. The M1q, meanwhile, utilizes a Swiss-made Ronda 5021D quartz movement with a battery.
With prices ranging from $700 to $2,250, these new chronographs, available at Timex.com and selected global retailers, truly signal Timex’s solid commitment to its Atelier line. The watchmaker manages to maintain the monochromatic black, white, and grey palette persistently across the collection, which lends an air of consistency seldom seen elsewhere.
