Unleashing Unexpected Exclusivity: The Audemars Piguet and Swatch Collaboration Crafts An Astonishing Pocket Watch

Published: 13 May 2026
Drawing both intrigue and excitement, the Audemars Piguet x Swatch collaboration introduces an exceptional timepiece, the Royal Pop pocket watch.

Buzz swiftly circulated when news broke of a potential collaboration between Swiss horologists Audemars Piguet and Swatch. Commencing as an implausible amalgamation, the Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop has certainly arrived to shake things up, not as a wristwatch, but a modular pocket watch. Sharing an unexpected stage, the Swiss duos stand distinctly apart in pricing but have impressively joined forces to balance refinement and availability. Using a manual-wind version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement, this pocket watch comes alive in eight striking colorways encompassing both two-handed and three-handed designs.

Lépine-style models position their winding crowns at 12 o’clock, offering a minimalist time-only display with various colorways such as ‘Otto Rosso’, ‘Huit Blanc’, and ‘Green Eight’. Conversely, the Savonnette-style versions feature 3 o’clock crowns with a secondary dial, in alluring colors such as ‘Lan Ba’ and ‘Otg Roz’.

Mirroring the construction of the MoonSwatch and the Scuba Fifty Fathoms models, the Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop sports a Bioceramic case while the dual fitted crystals are made from sapphire for added durability. The Royal Pop expands from 40mm in diameter to 53.2mm when secured into its pocket watch frame, prepared to withstand moisture up until 20 meters.

Royal Oak true fans will appreciate the octagon-shaped bezel, fitted with eight visible screws, giving the pocket watch a quintessential Royal Oak finish. Needless to say, the Royal Pop exhibits a combination of luxury aesthetic and everyday functionality that advances horological art to the next level.
