De Bethune and EsperLuxe Launch the Unconventional DB27 'Night Hawk', Revolutionizing Watch Design with First-Ever Features

Published: 05 May 2026
De Bethune, in collaboration with EsperLuxe, debuts the progressive DB27 'Night Hawk' watch with numerous unique components enhancing its distinctive style.

Stepping out from the shadow of traditional design, the De Bethune DB27 ‘Night Hawk’, in partnership with independent retailer EsperLuxe, seems to take its inspiration from renowned jazz musician Miles Davis, striking a chord with its ‘Kind of Blue’ aesthetics. This model showcases several firsts for the DB27 collection, which is traditionally known as the ‘Titan Hawk’. Unlike its moniker, the DB27 ‘Night Hawk’ deviates from the standard with engraved ‘microlight’ circles, specially designed lugs, and a 12 o’clock crown.

Adding to its avant-garde outlook, the DB27 ‘Night Hawk’ features a ‘Starry Sky’ motif made from flame-blued titanium marking the date and location that De Bethune and EsperLuxe solidified their collaboration. Not new, but aesthetically pleasing, are the printed silver Roman numerals, the railroad track, and 5-minute intervals on the middle dial.

Turn the watch and you are treated to another novelty - an unusual caseback view showcasing, not a typical movement, but an automatic rotor with ‘microlight’ engraving. Furthermore, the watch uses the De Bethune balance-spring with a flat terminal curve and the De Bethune steel escape wheel. As such, the De Bethune DB27 ‘Night Hawk’, in collaboration with EsperLuxe, sketches a new frontier in horology with its exceptional features and progressive design.
