Unveiling Striking Timepieces: Independent Creations Rule at Geneva Watch Week 2026
Independent watchmaking has long been a crucible of creativity, loved by enthusiasts for its off-beat approach. Boasting trailblazers such as Daniel Roth, Urwerk, and MB&F, to fresh talents, the independent watchmaking scene is indeed a diverse ecosystem that never fails to surprise. While the expectation might be that we have seen it all, exciting new timepieces inevitably appear around the next corner, taking our breath away.
Not to be outdone, Laurent Ferrier unveiled the Sport Traveller, merging its sporty and classic styles into one desirable timepiece. Drawing elements from the Sport Auto and the Classic Traveller, the watch is aesthetically delightful and practically designed for globetrotters. The case, crafted from titanium, is larger yet comfortable, while the pushers on the left offer a dual time display in one-hour increments in both directions. The dial reflects Laurent Ferrier’s signature restraint, imbued with character. The anthracite base is subtly marked with a light grey crosshair, and the Assegai-shaped hands and applied markers glow attractively with green Super-LumiNova.
