Moritz Grossmann Unveils Tefnut Silver-Plated by Friction Limited Edition for the 200th Anniversary

As 2026 marks the 200th anniversary of the legendary watchmaker Moritz Grossmann, they unveil their visionary design, the Tefnut Silver-Plated by Friction.

In celebration of its founder’s 200th anniversary in 2026, Moritz Grossmann advances its legacy with the unveiling of the new limited edition Tefnut Silver-Plated by Friction. This exquisite timepiece encapsulates the enduring ethos of the watchmaker, magnifying the traditional Saxony watchmaking within the modern frame of design and execution. Focusing on the mastery of artisanship and attention to detail over complication, this creation embraces the spirit of evolution while honoring past traditions.

For this unique commemoration, the Tefnut Silver-Plated by Friction is offered in white gold, and for the first time in yellow gold, lending a more vibrant and expressive touch to a commonly understated model. Both models feature a fully polished case that remains purposefully modest, offering a sense of reserved sophistication through its slender bezel and gently tapered lugs.

For the anniversary release, the brand sets a new standard by featuring the color green in the design for the first time. From the Arabic numerals to the vintage 1875 ‘M. Grossmann’ logo, this fresh tone offers an engaging and considerate variation. The timepiece completes its elegant presentation with a hand-stitched alligator leather strap, paired with a matching gold pin buckle, and a sapphire caseback revealing the calibre 102.1 hand-wound movement.
