Time Honoured Craftsmanship Meets Cosmic Distinction in Favre Leuba’s Meteorite and Malachite Watches

Published: 29 Apr 2026
Favre Leuba delves into the beauty of the cosmos and earth's riches, revealing timepieces adorned with meteorite and malachite dials.

Harnessing nearly three centuries of watchmaking expertise, Favre Leuba has created an exceptional blend of heritage and innovation. Despite its rich past, the brand has modernised its designs without losing its grandeur. Now, in a display of material-led innovation, the brand fuses the earthly and cosmic by introducing meteorite and malachite dials for the first time in its Favre Leuba Deep Raider Renaissance collection. The design, which reinterprets a timeless concept from the brand’s rich history, features stainless-steel cases maintained from the broader collection. Marrying functionality with elegance, the 300-meter water-resistant round case boasts graceful contours, polished accents, and tapering lugs. Attention to detail is evident in features like the amply sized, knurled, and screw-down crown as well as the ceramic uni-directional bezel. The true highlight of these new models, however, is the natural stone dials. Sourced from the Muonionalusta meteorite in northern Sweden, the meteorite dial showcases the hallmark Widmanstätten pattern that signifies its cosmic origin. The malachite dial, on the other hand, exhibits dazzling layers of natural green tones and mineral patterns, selected for its clarity and stability. Each dial, whether meteorite or malachite, is crafted to preserve its unique texture, durability, and pattern, creating a unique cosmic or earthly signature. They are backed by a layer coated in Super-LumiNova, resulting in a striking depth and a low-light luminosity. Thus, these timepieces by Favre Leuba ensure that every tick resonates with the symphony of eternity and earthly beauty, marking a new chapter in the luxury watchmaking scene.
