Chopard Pays Homage to its Heritage with the Stunning Rhône Blue Alpine Eagle in 41mm and 36mm
Chopard’s Alpine Eagle, a revelation in the world of horology since its debut in 2019, stands out with its defining features - an integrated bracelet, a uniquely textured dial, and a fluted bezel secured by eight indexed screws. Its latest iteration comes in a delightful Rhône Blue, housed within 36 and 41mm Lucent Steel cases. Though the connection may not be evident on the surface, the Alpine Eagle bears a proud lineage to Chopard’s first steel sports watch, the 1980s St. Moritz. Designed by none other than Karl-Friedrich Scheufele himself, the flamboyant bezel design and other mainstay features of the St. Moritz were skillfully reimagined to create a contemporaneously refined timepiece. Collectors can find a broad range of alternatives within the collection, thanks to its availability in multiple size variants. Each model features COSC-certified movements, housed within cases ranging from 33 to 44mm. Lucent Steel, Chopard’s proprietary alloy introduced with the first Alpine Eagle model, is made of 80% recycled steel, boasting a hardness and brilliance comparable to gold. The newest designs come in sizes of 41mm x 9.75mm and 36mm x 8.45mm, adorned with a newly introduced Rhône Blue dial that harks back to the Alpine origins of the Rhône River. The use of Super-LumiNova treated, rhodium-plated indices, and a mix of Roman and baton markers brings elegance to its aesthetic. Powering the timepieces are Chopard’s in-house COSC chronometer-certified automatic movements, offering unmatched precision.
