Steve McQueen, the undisputed ‘King of Cool’, was known for his love of watches, wearing iconic pieces like the Heuer Monaco and the Rolex Submariner both on and off screen. Honouring this connection, the German watchmaker Hanhart has recently unveiled a new edition of the legendary 417 ES bearing McQueen’s name: The Hanhart 417 ES Steve McQueen Limited Edition No. 1. This marks the first time the label has officially associated McQueen’s name with the vintage-inspired reissue of this remarkable pilot’s watch.

The Steve McQueen limited edition stays true to the spirit of the historical 417 ES. The model exemplifies vintage charm through its 39mm stainless steel case, compact dimensions, and the fluted bidirectional bezel. Contemporary elements are evident in the form of a highly domed sapphire crystal and red HyCeram chronograph pusher at 4 o’clock. To add a personal touch, the dial carries McQueen’s signature, an addition endorsed by his grandchildren, Chase and Madison McQueen, who were actively involved in the project.
