Phillips and Antiquorum Set the Stage for Grand Spring Auctions with Exquisite Patek Philippe Timepieces

Published: 23 Apr 2026
Auction house giants, Phillips and Antiquorum, are all set to shake the watch auction landscape this Spring with tantalising Patek Philippe offerings.

The auction world is revving up for a spectacular season as two of its heavyweights, Phillips and Antiquorum, prepare to showcase a stunning selection of timepieces. Both houses have set the bar high, primed to lead in sales with shifts in the market arena. In 2020, Phillips recorded a striking over $290 million in watch sales, marking its fifth year in a row with over $200 million in sales.

Patek Philippe timepieces are firmly on the pedestal at Phillips’s spring auctions, with each sale headlined by a potentially collection-defining piece. A 1953 Patek Philippe ref. 2523 two-crown world time with a cloisonné enamel map of South America is set to be the star of the show in Geneva on May 9. These two-crown timepieces are no less than Holy Grails for avid watch collectors, thanks to their angular lugs and large dial canvas.

As for Antiquorum, the house is all set to host the much-anticipated Geneva spring auctions, a high-point in the watch auction calendar. Last year, Sotheby’s Hong Kong sale set records with a final total of over $52.87 million, smashing previous records by more than $10 million. The sale witnessed several record-breaking high prices, including almost $2 million for a Cartier London Crash, and $1.3 million for a white gold A. Lange & Söhne Tourbillon.

This year, the stage is set again for extraordinary watches that may further push boundaries. The lavish stage of the spring auctions sets the trend for the watch auction market for the rest of the year, making this a pivotal event for collectors and investors alike. Stand by as these auction giants pull out all the stops and witness the breathtaking spectacle unfold.
