Horological Society of New York Expands its Financial Aid Opportunities Worldwide for 2026
The Horological Society of New York has planned to enhance its financial support to watchmaking students and professionals with a tripled scholarship budget for 2026, thanks to the Vogt Foundation. This radical expansion marks the first year that applicative support will be accessible globally, broadening financial assistance for pupils of horology around the world.
The Society has introduced ten different scholarships and one notable new grant – the Independent Watchmaker Grant. This initiative is designed to support independent watch practitioners looking to progress their craft, contributing towards their essential tools and startup expenses. Aimed at promoting innovation and excellence in the watchmaking industry, this grant offers recipients up to $50,000 based on the originality of their designs, the quality of their finishings, and the complexity of their mechanical movements.
Through these scholarships and grants, HSNY continues to advance its mission of nurturing technical skills, artistic expression, and independent creativity within the world of watchmaking.
