Reviving Swiss Timepieces: An 11.2% Jump in Swiss Watch Exports Revealed in June 2026

Published: 21 Jul 2026
The Swiss watch industry rebounds with a striking 11.2% increase in exports in June 2026, highlighting a resurgent interest in Swiss timepieces.

June 2026 marked a promising recovery for the Swiss watch industry with an 11.2% surge in exports, nearly reaching a total of 2.4 billion francs. This follows a remarkable 8.5% sales increase reported by the Swatch Group and a similar upward trend indicated by Richemont.

After a two-year downturn in 2024 and 2025, this marks the second month of significant recovery for Swiss watches, casting a hopeful light on the industry’s future. The year commenced on a less promising note, with the first quarter barely registering growth. However, with the latest models from Watches & Wonders being distributed worldwide, the exports have seen a substantial upswing in May and June.

The USA remains the top export market for Swiss watches, followed by France, which evidenced a staggering 103% increase in imports. However, China is not noted among the top 6 markets for June 2026. Despite the fluctuating exports, all price segments, except the 500-3,000 francs range, secured growth. Watches in the 200-500 francs segment rose by 54%, and the high-end watches priced over 3,000 francs also saw a significant increase, underlining the rising demand for luxury watches.
