This mechanical movement has been custom-crafted, marking a substantial leap for Bulgari’s timepieces that have predominantly used quartz movements till date.

This revolution doesn’t stop at Bulgari either. The mechanical movement has been designed to power watches within its parent groups at LVMH, thus enhancing related brands too. The Lady Solotempo presents itself as the third caliber dedicatedly developed for women’s watches. It joins the ranks with the ultra-compact BVL150 Tourbillon and the Piccolissimo - both marking record-breaking dimensions in women’s watches.

The magnificent Serpenti watch from Bulgari, designed around the snake theme, has now been equipped with this mechanical movement, adorning an eternity of durability and sustainability. Despite the luxurious and expensive nature of the gold (and occasionally, steel) Serpenti watches, they are coupled with the mechanical movement - ensuring they are never perceived as disposable.

Bulgari’s BVS100 movement, some three years in development, was manufactured in entirety at Bulgari’s Swiss facilities, setting unique parameters for the size and volume of the Serpenti watch head. With tiny dimensions and a feather-light weight, this new movement still offers an impressive 50-hour power reserve. The movement’s self-winding system is complemented with an oscillating Serpenti-scaled weight.
