Sylvain Pinaud, a distinguished independent watchmaker, has unveiled his newest paradigm-shifting timepiece - the Tourbillon 30-Second - at the 2026 Geneva Watch Week, further solidifying his stature in the watchmaking industry. Pinaud’s journey in horology began with the creation of his first single-button chronograph in 2018, which soon caught the attention of connoisseurs and industry insiders alike. His introduction of the time-only watch, the Origin, in 2021 further highlighted his aptitude and aesthetic language.

The son of a watchmaker, Pinaud was seemingly destined for the world of horology. He honed his skills at the famed Lycée Edgar Faure in Morteau and later continued his professional odyssey in Geneva, working for the internationally-renowned watchmaker, Franck Muller. His exploration in watch restoration and complication creation refined his technical expertise and deepened his understanding of traditional watchmaking. Living in Sainte-Croix, he contributed to several prestige projects, including those connected to Carl F. Bucherer.

In 2026, with a team of nearly ten individuals alongside him, Pinaud introduced his latest masterpiece - the Tourbillon 30-Second watch. A manifestation of the aesthetic aspects of the Origin, the new Timepiece also boasts an extra layer of technical sophistication, showcasing the exemplary standard of Pinaud’s work.
