Tissot and Pinarello Unite, Unveiling a Carbon-Based Special Edition Watch Fitting of the Cycling Elite
Tissot, a brand deeply connected with professional cycling, has partnered with Pinarello, a renowned road-bike manufacturer, to produce a special-edition watch collection. More than just a timekeeper, Tissot has been an integral part of the cycling world, partnering with major international races including the Tour de France and the Union Cycliste Internationale.
Pinarello, often considered the ‘Ferrari of the cycling world’, was founded in 1952 and has since commanded reverence for its design and engineering prowess, as well as the performance of its bikes. This collaboration results in a remarkably crafted timepiece, its 42mm case manufactured from forged carbon - a reference to lightweight, high-performance bike frames. The design of the case is dynamic and asymmetrical, inspired by Pinarello’s aerodynamic technology. A touch of class is present in the form of a box-shaped sapphire crystal, adding a refined sense of depth.
Demonstrating impressive horology, the watch incorporates the Powermatic 80 movement, promising a substantial 80-hour power reserve and offering robust resistance to magnetism. Its precision is certified by the COSC, an official Swiss body for certifying chronometer accuracy. The sporty aesthetic is supplemented by a rubber strap, which can be switched out for an included leather strap for a more elegant look.
