Credor Unveils Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraved Limited-Edition GBCF997 Honoring 30 Years of Masterful Engravings
Part of the esteemed Seiko family, the Japanese horological house of Credor takes center stage at Watches & Wonders 2026 in Geneva. Affirmed in their prestigious status by presenting the Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraved Limited Edition GBCF997, this luxurious creation pays homage to Credor’s three decades of engraving tradition.
Born in 1960 as a delicate dress watch, the Seiko Goldfeather was reincarnated in Credor’s portfolio in 2023. Today, the modern Goldfeather embodies grace, thinness, and lightness imitating the very qualities of a feather. The latest variant, Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraved GBCF997, resides at the pinnacle of Credor’s offerings. With its platinum case, this limited edition boasts intricate hand engravings on its dial and movement.
The GBCF997 dial consists of a raised central section resting on the outer ring housing the hour markers and minute track. Masterfully rendering a seamless motif across the dial is a challenge due to the two-part structure.
The GBCF997 sees traditional finishing techniques meticulously create linear engravings for the Roman numeral indexes and a traditional Japanese ’nanako’ engraving style for the minute track. The striking blue-finished dial houses an elongated dauphine-shaped handset, and the tourbillon situated at 9 o’clock under a matching blue-finished bridge.
The spectacular 22-jewel Caliber 6850 manual-wind movement, no more than 3.98mm thick, is clearly visible through the display case back. Operating at 21,600vph with a 60-hour power reserve, the movement, although not claiming top-tier chronometry, is a true testament to Credor’s deep-seated commitment to excellence.
