Historical Plumbing Titan, Thomas Crapper & Co., Releases Venerable Timepiece in Honour of its 165th Anniversary

An iconic name in English history, Thomas Crapper & Co. celebrated its 165th anniversary in 2026. This venerable plumbing company was founded in 1861 by Thomas Crapper, an intuitive businessman whose innovations reshaped the world’s conceptions of home plumbing. While not the original inventor of the toilet system as we know it today, Crapper significantly enhanced existing concepts and managed something previously unaccomplished: he ignited consumer interest in in-home toilet installations, through the revolutionary move of establishing the world’s first toilet showroom boutique.

Fast forward to the present day, Thomas Crapper & Co. is not just an historical relic, but a thriving entity. Under new management and with a recent brand rejuvenation, the company steadfastly upholds its British roots and legacy whilst producing high-quality toilets and bathroom accessories. It was purchased by the Mosley family in 2016, transforming it into a family-run business. Helmed by Managing Director, Paul Dwyer, the brand is being repositioned as a lifestyle company.

To commemorate this milestone anniversary, the company launched a special edition timepiece, merging the vintage allure of their past with the modern sophistication of its present, a clear sign of a new era for this enduring brand.
