Omega Unveils Constellation Observatory: A New Collection Certified As a Master Chronometer

Published: 26 Mar 2026
The world of horology is abuzz with Omega’s launch of the Constellation Observatory collection, which marries vintage aesthetics with an innovative certification.

Omega, a formidable player in the horology market, has once again stirred interest with the launch of its new collection. The latest addition, the 2026 Omega Constellation Observatory, is not a completely new design but rather an innovative and inspired reinvention of the Constellation watch series. This new collection draws inspiration from the aesthetics of historical models, while infusing noteworthy innovation. The primary highlight of this release is that the Constellation Observatory is the first two-hand watch to have received a Master Chronometer certification, thus securing a significant spot in the history of Omega watches.

The modern variant of the Constellation Observatory comes in a 39.4mm case, available in steel, gold or a lavish platinum/gold blend. Equipped with two box sapphire crystals, the contemporary design ensures that the watch sits elegantly on the wrist despite its overall thickness of 12.23mm. In a subtle nod to its history, the collection maintains the classic yet distinctive shape of dog-leg lugs, cementing the tie between traditional aesthetic craftsmanship and modern innovation.

The new arrival is available in several variants. The steel versions, crafted from Omega’s own steel alloy named O-MEGASTEEL, are available in silver opaline with gold markers/hands, in green or blue PVD, or with a polished, non-engraved black ceramic dial. Accentuating the luxury of this watch collection, all versions are presented on shiny alligator leather straps. Furthermore, precious versions are available across a range of Omega’s exclusive gold alloys, extending beyond the classics to meet a broad spectrum of personal tastes.
