The Watch Ho & Co x Selten Launches the Vibrant Jui Bauhinia

Last year, the world was introduced to the original Jui, a result of a collaboration between the Hong Kong-based Watch Ho & Co(mmunity) and the microbrand Selten. Its sophisticated dial design coupled with affordable pricing made the Jui a hit amongst watch collectors. The Jui’s dial was intricately detailed with a guilloché-style “mountain” pattern etched onto mother-of-pearl, making it unique in its price range. The concept of collectors coming together was a key factor in its success.

The base of the dial sticks the mother-of-pearl format from the previous edition, but this time, it carries delightful pink or purple hues that change with the light. The color-play doesn’t rest, shifting between pastel shades and slightly richer tones offering a dynamic and radiant appearance. The dial, done using CNC machining, projects sharp and even ‘mountain’ designs. The dial, especially under specific angles, additionally reveals hints of green and blue, taking the detailing a notch higher.

Other features of the watch include skeletonised sword hands heat-treated in purple and blue, an exhibition caseback that reveals the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, and a custom rotor specifically made for this edition. The 316L steel case is resistant to water up to a depth of 50 meters. To keep up with the casual touch of the new edition, the Jui Bauhinia comes with an FKM sailcloth-style strap. Priced at USD 1,250 and limited to 200 pieces per colour, the new Jui Bauhinia continues to uphold the values of the collaboration.
