Delma Reveals A Sleeker, Compact Steel Shell Star 41mm: A Stunning Evolution In Dive Watches
Delma’s widely recognised Shell Star collection, consisting of the Big Date, time-and-date Automatic, and Decompression Timer lines, gets a notable update. Known for bold proportions in 44mm steel cases, the Shell Star watch has taken on a more compact design. Introducing the Shell Star 41mm, now available in stainless steel, Delma has made the timeless mechanical watch more accessible to a broader audience.
The dial design stays true to the Shell Star’s tool-watch concept with broad hands and generously applied markers filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9. The remodeled collection introduces bolder colour choices, ranging from traditional black and white to more expressive tones of orange, yellow, and light blue.
Powering the new Delma Shell Star 41mm is the reliable Sellita SW200-1, an alternative to ETA 2824. This operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers a 41-hour power reserve. Alongside the automatic version, Delma also offers a low-maintenance quartz option with extended battery life. The improved Shell Star 41mm comes with either a three-link stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap with colour-matched stitching. With prices starting from CHF 1,090 or EUR 1,300 on bracelet and CHF 1,050 or EUR 1,250 on a strap, the new watch offers a value proposition in the realm of luxury dive watches.
