Being one of history’s oldest operating mints, founded in 864, Monnaie de Paris brings a distinct charm to the partnership, crafting coins and medals for centuries.

Building on Beaubleu’s reputation for circular, orbiting hands—a distinguishing feature in the brand’s collections—this collaboration offers a whole new level in horological craftsmanship with the use of machine-struck minting techniques in watch dial creation. The outcome of this fusion of talent rides on the strength of two riveting watches, namely, La Pièce no. 1 and La Pièce no. 2.

La Pièce no. 1, embodying traits similar to the Seconde Française model, features a captivating stepped dial, reminiscent of a pie pan. Filled with pad-printed Roman numerals, the dial’s complexity accentuates the brand’s name at its lowest level—center. Meanwhile, the seconds hand casts an impression of levitating above the dial, attached to a translucent disk placed on the central axis, making for an intriguing visual. Dial color options include Champagne and Moka for the gold PVD model, while the steel counterpart offers Olive Green, Burgundy, Graphite, and Empire Blue hues.

La Pièce no. 2 expands on the dial decoration with available Rose Gold, Jet Black, and Silver shades.
