Seiko And HUF Create Magic with the Revival of the Iconic 70s 'Time Sonar' Watch

In a creative collaboration, watchmaking giant Seiko joined forces with HUF to create a new limited edition of the Seiko 5 Sports watch. Their inspiration for this unique timepiece is derived from the 1970s Seiko ‘Time Sonar’ model. The new Seiko 5 Sports HUF Limited Edition SRPM09 ‘Time Sonar’, boasts a 39.4 mm x 11.6 mm stainless steel case with a 48.1 mm lug-to-lug dimension. It is accompanied by an integrated, stamped stainless steel bracelet, measuring a robust 20 mm at the lugs.

To offer a playful contrast, Seiko and HUF have drenched the needle-shaped center seconds hand in striking orange varnish. The watch also features an exhibition case at the back, decorated with a San Francisco inspired graphic - a nostalgic nod to HUF’s founding city. It contains ‘LIMITED EDITION’ engraving and an individual serial number for exclusivity. The watch comes with Seiko’s hardened Hardlex for both front and back. The Seiko 5 Sports HUF Limited Edition SRPM09 ‘Time Sonar’ weighs a total of 146 grams, is water-resistant up to 100 meters, and is powered by the 24-jewel automatic Seiko caliber 4R36. With stop seconds, it provides a power reserve of 41 hours.
